IV MURALS is happy to announce the start of a new art program at RJ Donovan. We will be joining forces with the education department of RJD and offer a mural apprenticeship program to selected incarcerated individuals of RJD. Guided by experienced muralists, each cohort will have the opportunity to express their unique perspectives and experiences through their artwork, essentially leading to collaborative murals enhancing their surroundings. This hands-on approach fosters teamwork, creativity, and personal growth while transforming the prison environment into a canvas of hope and inspiration. The final murals will not only beautify the space but also serve as a testament to the power of art in fostering connection and understanding within the community.
Furthering our cause is the most important goal of our organization. We are here to support and empower urban artists by seeking out public spaces that can be available to them. We connect local talent with Imperial Valley organizations/entrepreneurs/property owners to help beautify our towns with meaning. Our success isn’t measured in terms of wealth or profit margin, but by the sense of belonging that we reinforce to the communities of the
Imperial Valley.
